Stephen King's IT (1990)

Director: Tommy Lee Wallace

275 When the young Beverly (Emily Perkins) talks to young Ben (Brandon Crane) for the first time, some of her schoolbooks are large glossy soft-cover format.  Books like this were not common until the end of the 1960s or later.

277 Cliché Alert! This is not really a mistake as such, the Checker cab in which the grown up Ben (John Ritter) returns to Derry, is in perfect condition.  Checker cabs went out of production in 1982 so while there might be some in service in 1990 its pretty certain that the cab in the movie is a restored model, not a serving cab, it just looks too perfect for what has to be a taxi that's at least eight years old.

277.01 In the original book, the action was taking place in 1985, not 1990, so the cab would have been OK for that period.

278 When the adult Bill (Richard Thomas) and Audra (Olivia Hussey) are speeding down hill on the old bike, a small red (Japanese?) car swerves to avoid them. When they stop at the intersection it's behind them facing downhill.  In the final shot the car is now to the left of them and facing them.  Odd for a vehicle that moments before had been going uphill away from them.

278.01 It's more confusing than that, there seem to be two identical cars at the intersection, the one on the left and another behind, so who was going where looks like even more of a mystery.
